MacBook Black battery used in MacBook White early 2008

MacBook Core 2 Duo White early 2008

I purchased a new black Macbook battery that seems to be the same specifications as the white Macbook. While the original white battery charges fine. Are they not the same battery?

Can you give us the last three digits of your serial number and also the part number on the box that the black MacBook battery came in so we can figure it out.

The two should be interchangeable and should perform similarly to each other. Is it a third party (non-Apple branded) battery?

Color doesn't matter. Apple's Model # A1185 is the battery for this machine.

I agree the color of the battery doesn't matter if its' physically the same. But did he get the correct battery (MB Vs MBP)? Thats why I asked for the system and batt info as it sounded like he wasn't sure.
