iPhone 4 not charging unless screen is disconnected
Hi All,
Been repairing electronic devices for a while now, but am stuck on this iPhone 4. Screen, battery and dock connection have all been replaced. I have reassembled the phone and 1) it will not show anything on the screen and 2) It will not recharge unless the screen is disconnected from the logic board.
I have checked that everything is assembled correctly, checked all the cables are intact and have tried multiple screens that I know are working. I have even gone to the point of going through the schematic diagrams and making sure that all components are still on the logic board.
Any ideas??? Has anyone come across this problem before??
Cheers
Is this a good question?
OK, I have finally solved my problem - I disconnected LCD and Digitizer and connected iPhone to PC put it in recovery mode and restored the phone and updated it. Make sure iTunes is up-to-date as well. When the recovery and update are completed, disconnect from PC, disconnect battery, connect LCD and Digitizer, connect Battery then power on. You should see that the Screen is now working and if you plug your charger in the iPhone should now be charging as well. So if you have a dead phone after replacement and all else fails try this method as there might be a Software issue when conducting out repairs on the certain iPhones.
