Hi

Can I use this hard drive in a Macbook A1342 2010 model?

[linked product missing or disabled: IF107-122]

From what i have read on the internet the Seagate Hybrid drive is a "thin" hard drive.

If i put it in my Macbook will I need to buy a mount or will the tork screws and hard drive mount already in my Macbook hold the thinner hard drive in place (I don't want it to be moving around freely.

Thank you :)

No, you will transfer your current mounts and screws to the new HD when you swap it. The case comes with a set of screws.

So even though the hard drive is thinner, it will not be loose or able to move around freely in my A1342 MacBook?

Thank you for your help.

The mounting is via screws over rubber collars. Here is a picture of the mounting screws from the IFIXIT HD replacement guide. Your drive will be snug as a bug in a rug ;-}
