Nothing appears on display...but I hear sounds on AT&T Avail (Z990)?

I get sound but nothing on the display. Battery is charged. I press the power button and hear the turn-on sound but nothing on the display. Suspect the screen control problem.

The problem is the touch screen. One of the printed circuits traces is open. Thought I could replace the trace with a small flexible wire but it's way to small for my .5 mm soldering iron tip.

Looking for a replacement touch screen for the AT&T model Z990. The part number on the touch screen assembly is : BTL353248-L446L

You can pick up the lcd on ebay for about $20, its a little expensive but if you can't solder to the ic its a good option.
