I accidentally put a 12v power supply into my USB Hub wich was connected to my MBP 13" (late 2011). Both USB ports are now unusable. Any chance to fix this without getting a new logic board? Best regards.

It's some work, but there are fuse links on the USB power feed lines so you might be able to save the logic board.
I should point out these are SMT components so you do need to have good soldering skills and will need to use a meter to measure the voltages.
I would first check out to see if the USB ports are still working (just not able to power the device). Using a new powered USB hub and a known good USB device connected to it (i.e. HD or thumb drive) can you get the port to see the drive. If you can you have a chance here, if not, sorry you burn't the controller on the logic board.
Also check your power lines using a cheater cord do they offer power? As you could have burn't something else.

@Dan: USB seems to work if I connect thru an USB hub! Looks like I had luck. I just synced my iPhone and did an Timemachine backup on an external HDD. What now?
Btw. Looks like I fried the RAM.Had to swap 16GB for 4GB.
At this point you will need to get your hands on a board layout diagram and schematics for your system to test the circuit further and locate the burn't fuse links. I would recommend locating someone with the needed skills and tools to work on your system as these are very small SMD components (even I don't try to do this level of work with my poor eyesight). Otherwise, just continue to use the powered USB hub.
What Dan said is true, but you would have to have really great soldering skills, and there is a good chance that you might make a mistake and fry your logic board.
Some authorized Apple service centers get down and dirty ;-} It might be worth checking things out and see if they can do the repair, it should be less than a new or used logic board.

Same thing happened to my early 2011 MBP. The proto board I was testing (AMS1117 3.3V regulator on PIC microcontroller with USB function) suddenly failed and fed 12V on usb rail. Mac suddenly shut down on me. I unplugged the usb at once. However that USB port never worked after that. Even the remaining one does not provide enough power to connect up an external HDD or Pickit Programmer now. Only solution was to use a powered USB hub.
This is the part I suspect which had failed due to high voltage.

I have the exact same problem as you, same model and everything.
If I use a powered external hard drive the USB works, so the data lines are working however I can't power any device throughout them.
Did you found a solution to your situation? If so could you exchange some emails (ruibrito89@gmail.com)

@Rui: Hi there, sorry to hear about that mate. A laptop without USB s.cks big time.
I couldn't get the logic board fixed. I asked around a few repair shops where I live but nobody seems to have the skills to fix the SMD components. Or they din't want to fix it, got a few offers for a new logic board.
Unfortunately the USB-Hub workaround doesn't do it anymore. I don't know why or what changed. The only possibility to use my USB devices right now is thru my Thunderbolt Display.
