diagram of where is system preferences

my husband clicked on something and now the dropdowns at the top of the screen on the home screen are in some Asian language it seems that it can be corrected by going to system preferences language and choosing English. After I click on the Apple which line is system preferences and then where is the language choice

Options

Fourth one - right after the divider... you can also go to Applications->Utilities->System Preferences. You want the Languages & Text icon... looks like a miniature UN flag on a pole.
