Charge MacBook Pro battery outside the mac (with cables and voltage s)
Background:
I bought a new battery on ebay which might be defective and will probably never work, but since I'm not getting any responses from the seller I'm thinking that my problem could be resolved by charging the battery outside the mac.
Everything is working fine with my old battery in, and that I tried SMC & PRAM reset a lot of times.
Still my new battery says not charging, when you press the battery button it blinks instead of showing the amount of battery and the magsafe never turns red.
What I need to know:
Now, I think that the problem is that the battery has so little charge that the mac thinks it is broken/cannot receive charge, so if could connect some cables directly to the battery to a voltage source I think maybe mt mac can. I should have the equipment needed for this at university, so does anyone how to charge a mac battery outside the mac?
Is this a good question?
