The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. an unknown error occurred (

i have been getting an error -1 while trying to restore my iphone 4S the only thing that was done with the iphone was a screen replacement. it booted up the iOS okay then i tried to go for a restore and i got the error message. i was wondering if any of you could help me
