Why does this thing not work after replacing trackpad and keyboard?

So, I replaced the keyboard and trackpad in a co-worker's G60 after his wife spilled red wine on it. All I did was take it apart where needed in order to swap out the parts. It booted up just fine before I did so, the trackpad and keyboard just didn't work. So, when I booted it up after replacement, I was surprised then the LCD didn't light up or show anything. It also doesn't sound like it's even booting up. Fan runs, but I don't hear the hard drive turning. I put the HDD in another machine and it boots up. I really didn't think that swapping out two of the same part numbered components would cause any of this, but I am perplexed. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Seems like your replacement module is not compatible with your motherboard or may its not the proper quality one, however you can give a try by cleaning the jumpers of keyboard connectors with some alcohol swab. Because sometime a lose contact also causes similar problem.
