How do I change hard drive?

My ssd is full and so my external hard drive. Want to change to a larger hard drive that I got when I bought my MacBook. How do I do? Things to think about? Should I clone it as i've read about ore should I install the programs again? Want as much memory as I can. Can I then switch drives?

Thanx

To put a new, larger drive in your Mac you can do a backup to an external USB or FireWire drive. Than remove old drive and install new one. Once new drive is installed, plug external drive back in and do a full system restore. When I did mine all I had to do after that was re-enter my software key on my Adobe software to re-register it. All worked fine after that with the new much bigger drive.
