built-in cam wont start

I have a Acer Laptop aspire 5610. When I open my built in web cam it says another application is using it but I cant find what it is. It tells me to stop the application that is using the camera and press the reconection button, how do I find the application

All you need to do is just go to your device`s manufacturer`s website and enter the specific model number to download the appropriate drive. Once you download it just uninstall the existing one and then install it by new one. Hopefully this shall solve your problem.
