Are the heat sink screws really Philips #00?

Hello,

I followed the tutorial to remove the heat sink, and my Philips #00 screw driver worked for all the screws except the ones around the heat sink (model A1304). They look smaller than the others, and only the tip of the screwdriver goes in the groove an damages the middle of the cross while turning.

I have seen the question about removing stripped screws using a modified flat screwdriver, but since my screws are not (yet) stripped, I was wondering if anybody knew the actual type these screws are?

The screw closest to the fan is a 00, the other three (one on the L shaped brace and two on the right of the heat sink/thermal module) are 000 though.

Typically a 00 will work for all four screws but the three 000 will require a little more downward force as you unscrew them. If yours are starting to strip though I would stop and find the proper 000 driver.

Thanks, that's right the 00 worked, I just had to press really hard (standing up to use my weight) and turn very slowly.
