Display replacement gone bad- Looks like a poltergeist!

I just replaced the digitizer display on my Iphone 5. I am now getting a display with an erie green glow with dark edges. Seriously looks like i embedded a poltergeist! The Home button doesn't get a response and the on/off button won't shut it down. The screen stays lit and won't revert to a sleep mode>

Options

Are all the flex cables in the correct place when you assembled it. You might have to tear it down again to check them.
