Installing iFixit's transparent back panel

I am trying to replace the back panel of my iPhone 4 with the nifty transparent iFixit back panel. But, I can't make it slide in the last 2mm. Any advice?

Thanks.

are you sliding it down or trying to slide it up? it should slide from headphone jack downwards to dock. it only has to slide a few mm. Just check for anything in the little grooves either on the main body or the back panel which may be blocking the sliding.

Thanks for your advice. It seems that I received the wrong part. iFixit is sending me a replacement.

Hi, I have the exact same problem. My rear panel slides about half of the way, then it seems as something is in the way of the tiny plastic guides. I think I received the appropiate part, as it's virtually identical to the original one. I don't know what to do :(

I ordered the transparent back panel for my 4s a couple of weeks ago and got the wrong one as well. A side by side comparison of the original back and the clear one made it obvious. Ifixit sent a replacement right away.
