Why has my screen suddenly stopped working?

I replaced my screen a few months ago and everything was going great, then this morning my phone fell from the couch to the floor and when I picked it up to check the time, nothing, not even the backlight will show up. I plugged it into my charger thinking it was dead and it made the connection noise it usually does when plugged in. So my phone is not dead, but nothing is showing up on the screen, and yes, I did restart it (Not that I could see it restarting). Should I open it and check connections, or just buy a whole new screen to install?

Chosen Solution

Yes. Open it and check. The LCD Display connector most likely came loose from the logic board, and simply needs to be carefully pressed back into place.
