Intermit flicker when used for a extended period of time whats wrong?

I was using my 17'' unibody and noticed the backlight flicker while i was using it on the internet.

This laptop is under warranty just so you know

Is it the screen or could the monitor cables be loose?

I opened the lid fast and will possibly take it to the apple store to get checked

Options

Connect the MBP to an external monitor and check if the flicker reproduces on the external. If not I would suspect a failing inverter board or something related to the inverter board like a loose connection.
