I phone water damage

I dropped my iphone in the toilet last night and it started to falsh and had a faint screen. We turned it off straight away and put it in rice. I did already have a crack on the screen, but still wont turn on been 24 hours? any tips??

Options

You should follow the ifixit guide for water damage. (Link provided) Of primary importance is to remove the battery as it still (?) is providing power to the phone.
