weld antenna to the motherboard


Can you help me please, i need to weld the antenna ( the one that is put on top and which has two screws attached to the metal housing )

I believe this is the antenna mohamad is referring to. I did a little research as far as visually inspecting a motherboard that needed that part replaced and it looks like it *CAN* be replaced. As you can see in the photo there are 8 gold contacts that have to be unsolder-ed from the motherboard. These contacts are very close to other small resistors, which i assume are part of the antenna circuit. If those resistors are damaged during the antenna removal or reattachment you may render your phone a very fancy iPod touch.

If you don't have experience soldering on anything this small, find someone who does, experimenting may render your phone unfix-able or worse.
