changed out the screen, but now only hear 8 beeps
re-tried three times to make sure we changed out the screen but only remains black and i hear 8 beeps

Lynda Crossgrove , 8 Beeps in POST means that the system is not detecting the display panel. Double check your work and try to reseat both ends of the cable that runs between the mainboard and display panel. Check the cable and pins for damage, if it is damaged, replace it with a new one. Make sure that your panel is good and that it is the right one. Hope this helps, good luck.
