Hi

I want to replace the 100Gb drive that came factory installed in my MacBook Pro 2GHz Intel Core Duo. What's the maximum hard drive capacity I can install? Thanks

Your machine can handle a hard drive with a maximum height of 9.5mm

640GB and 750GB drives are now within that range, you just need to confirm the height before purchase.

Agreed--these are suitable drives from ifixit. Ralph +

You need to format it using the "Disk Utility" application which is included with the OSX installer and format the drive as "HFS+ Journaled" It should then appear as a drive to install OSX on.
