Can't restore on itune - error 1434

Hello every body, (sorry, i'm french, my english is really bad)

Since 2 days, i'm looking for some answer for my problem.

My girl friends has an Ipod black classic 160 Go one year ago. But since few weeks, she can't use it.

I tried to restore it, with itune and disk mode. But after 30 sec of restoring, an error message appear : " ipod can't be restore - error 1434

I also tried to restore with disk utility ... but i can't reset or repaired ... I have tried all this solution on 3 differents Mac ...

I looking for on different website, and i don't find any answer about this message error.

She really use her iphone, and she can't wait anymore before buying another. I just want to be sure that her Ipod can't be repaired before buy another one.
