Macbook air model A1379 is broken. I'm looking for the least expensive way to replace this. I've heard this model has a high resolution screen. Will a low res screen work if it's cheaper?

Jacob Irish, that depends on the panel itself. Check the datasheet wiring diagram, if those match between you current panel and the replacement, it will.

What are the last three digits of your serial number. This will help to identify your logic board and might shed more light on the pinout. Should your MBA not be a A1369? I think A1379 is the superdrive....
