Replaced Hard Drive and now my OSX software won't install

I replaced my Hard drive with Hitachi 200gb 5400rpm SATA hard drive. Install went well. However, Software install not going as smoothly.

The hard drive is reading the optical drive, however, my screen is hung. There is a picture of what appears to be an inverted optical mouse. Not sure if its suppose to do that or if something is wrong.

Any one have similar experience?

You've fallen it the SATA I/O speed quagmire!

Whats happening here is your systems SATA port is SATA I (1.5 Gb/s), yet the HD you've chosen is a SATA III (SATA 6.0 Gb/s) by default. You'll need to locate a jumper on the HD to set it to the slower I/O speed or get a different HD (one than can work with a SATA I interface).
