How do I repair MacBook fan connector?

Hi all, I have a problem with my macbook pro late 2009 version. The wire connecting the fan and the logic board snapped and I tried to fix it myself by soldering. Unfortunately I couldn't establish a connection and the fan didn't work. I am stuck now. What do I do next?

Getting a new logic board is not an option for me since it costs too much. Is there some other way to fix this? I don't think external cooling fan would do anything good either.

Help Please!!!!

Thanks

Mingma, start off by doing a couple of things. first post a couple images of your board and the repair attempt so we can see what you see. Follow this guide to add images Adding images to an existing answer The next thing you want to do is to give us the last three digits of your serial number. That will allow us to properly identify your computer and your logic board.

Using an external cooling device is better than no cooling, and having a TU fan. It's a good work around while your sorting out your other options. The worst thing you can do is cook the CPU. Take care not to do more damage attempting to use that box as it is.
