Which MBP-model do I have? A1226 or A1260?

Hi everyone!

I need to buy a new display for my MacBoo pro 15" 2,4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, early 2008.

Is this the MBP-model A1226 or A1260?

Thanks for help.

Matthias

What are the last three digits of your serial number?

The part number for the display is matte (661-4609) and glossy (661-4610)

If you want to get a proper match for the display use the guide (almost the same for either model) to remove the top case and read the manufacturers part number off the back bottom of the screen.

Externally, it would be unlikely for one to quickly notice a difference between the MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo "Early 2008/Penryn" models -- the MacBook Pro "Core 2 Duo" 2.4 15" (2008), "Core 2 Duo" 2.5 15" (2008) -- and their predecessors as each share identical cases.

The model number is on the bottom of the machine.
