Is a heat gun okay?

Hello - I notice all the iPad teardowns use a heating pad to warm and remove the adhesive...is it okay to use a heat gun instead of the "ifixit heating pad"?

offcourse! i put mine on 110 - 130 degrees celcius

What type of heat gun do you use? I haven't been able to find one that goes that low.
