Snapped blue and red cable, how to repair?

Hi there

I have mistakenly snapped the wires of the speaker blue and red I know how to solder them however the size of my blue wire only reaches the closest point to the soldering tip and the red one reaches furtherest away soldering tip.

If this is normal that the blue wire is smaller than the red then could you please tell me which solder point it goes to on the Logic Board? (closest / further) and (on top of the board or underneath it)?

Options

I'd just get a length of insulated wire (modelling wire is the best match) and cut it to your required length instead of messing about trying to fit a short wire.
