Looking to find out best means to learn soldering techniques

Hi everyone,

Looking to find information on the best means to learn how to solder. Often there are cases with my business I require the ability to solder. I have soldered previously however I find it frustrating when the solder does not stay on the part being soldered. I have read about adding flux and temperatures and a host of other articles which were not helpful.

How did you learn to solder?

This is kind of like asking, "how do you ride a bicycle". Practice, practice, practice.

Start here: Soldering

Solder

Solder is used to create a non-permanent electrically conductive connection between non-ferrous metals. The relatively low melting point of lead/tin (Pb/SN) solder is a perfect match for sensitive electronic components. For applications where lead is not desired, one good substitute is "no lead" solder - usually a mixture of tin with a trace amount (0.3%) of copper. Note that most so-called "silver solders" are lead/tin with about 2% silver added. Lead-Free Solder
