I would start by trying a hard reset. Hold the power and home button for 10 seconds and see it it restarts. If thats not working....See if its recognized by iTunes. If still nothing....then there would need to be some hardware troubleshooting done. Could be a battery issue, screen issue, charge dock...or even a problem with the motherboard.

I had the same problem on my iPhone 4S. Finally after tests it turned out as a battery problem. After battery replacement everything worked well. Like new!
