Will my iPhone dry out and the touch screen work again?

I went running with my iPhone 5 tucked in my shorts waistband. It looks like the heat and moisture from my body got into the phone. It charges fine, I can see the display etc but it wont swipe open and the touch screen is unresponsive.

Will it dry out and recover?

Kevin, just like any other iDevice, I strongly suggest that you clean your iPhone. Use these guides to work on your phone. Here is the guide to clean a iPhone and even so it is a 3G, the principle remains the same. Once you got it cleaned, reevaluate. right now it appears as if your digitizer has failed.

you will have to replace the whole assembly. Yes, you can buy the parts separately, but it is almost impossible to separate or reassemble those without the industrial equipment needed for that.

UNPLUG AND FASTLY PUT YOUR IPHONE IN A RICE BAG UNTIL IT IS COMPLETELY DRY. This si the best thing you can do to shorten the drying Time and increase chances to use it again.
