To replace a 667mhz G4 PowerBook display and hinges

Hi, Can I use the lid and hinges from a G4 400mhz or 500mhz to replace the lid and hinges on my 667mhz? the right hand hinge on the PB has just ripped the lid apart after just over 7 years of good service. Display is still ok. But would like to replace hinges as per advice on this website.

You can use the hinges and the lid of the Ti VGA display but the VGA LCD screen wont work on your DVI Titanium.

Disassemling a PB G4 Titanium screen is quite a pain, since lid and bezel are glued together. Good photoguide on the bookyard.

And, no, I don't have a connection to them, other that I sometimes buy a few nitbits from them.

I'm not certain about the swap but perhaps these parts will work for you. Good luck Ralph

Not the good hinges Ralph. Jim has a PowerBook Titanium...

Thanks for the response, but I'm none too sure where this leaves me. I don't want to attempt gluing or separating the hinges from the lid so does that suggest I need to find a 667 lid to match my 667 PB?
