Why is it rebooting constantly after replacing Power/Volume flex?

I replaced the Power/Volume flex cable in an iPhone 5 and it is now constantly rebooting. Everything seems to be functional as normal apart from this rebooting issue. I was informed that the phone did not do this prior to the cable replacement. Could it be a bad component or is there something else that could be causing this?

The 1st thing you may do would be reopening it and checking that your battery is well connected, and all the connector pins absolutely clean.

Hoping to have helped you,

I am having the same problem. I replaced the power button cable and starting getting the random reboot and battery percentage problem. Looked at the diagnostic page on the phone and has a kernel panic showing a CRC error. Anyone have any thoughts on what the problem could be?
