"no signal" message on monitor

My PC is running on Windows 7. While using pc, it abruptly shows "no signal" on monitor. going out of control. Even If we press reset button also, it won't reset. Forcebly, switch off the system. What will be the problem?

MadhuSudhan Rao, not sure what you mean by "going out of control". It is entirely possible that you either have a bad video card, which may stop sending a signal, a bad cable/connector from the monitor as well as a bad video board in your monitor. Check the monitor on a different computer. If it works without a problem. you know that it is not the part that is failing. run Windows in safe mode and see if that makes a difference. If it does, you know it is software (most likely settings) related. If it does not make a difference, replace your video card. It will also help if you tell us what make and model your computer is, as well as what video card you are using. Hope this helps, good luck.
