My iPod won't turn on after screen replacement?

When i changed my screen i wanted to test it before i put the screen into the body of the ipod. When i lifted up the screen the lcd cable came out of its slot in the board. When i tried charging it, the beep didn't happen, and the screen won't turn on. The battery started to heat up normally like i was using it but i wasn't. I don't know what happened. Can you guys help me?

Never mind, i got it, i put the new screen back in, i guess the solution is to drain the battery all the way down then start charging it and it should work.

Try pluggin it into a computer and see if itunes recognizes it. Did you make sure the LCD connector is in completely? Did you bend any of the pins on the LCD connector? It is worth trying the old screen to see if that one works. If all else fails try putting it into DFU mode, but fair warning it will erase your ipod.

I had the same problem. If you make sure the LCD screen is plugged in correctly, but the screen is still not turning on you can just restart your iPod by holding the power and home button for at least 10 seconds and then you should see the Apple logo :)
