Dropped my iPhone, digitizer replaced but still not working?

Hi everyone

I dropped my iPhone 5 and the LCD / Digitizer both got broken.

I replaced them with a new part from eBay and the LCD works and all functions on the phone work (that I can see) but the digitizer does not recognize touch.

I have tested the digitizer on another iPhone 5 and it works perfectly.

I restored the iPhone and it still will not work.

Does anyone have any ideas? I assume it is hardware damage? The digitizer connector on the logic board looks fine and I cannot see any other problems. The phone has also never been water damaged.

Thanks, Ryan.

Servis destroy your home button touchID reader - since is unicate for each phone , replacement does not read fingerprints and there is no way to repair

I have similar problem. My iPhone was water damaged, and after that everything works, but touchscreen isn't responsive.

Does anyone knows what can cause this?

The Tech Genie, check on here step 18 will show you the location.

Block Image

Orange = Texas Instruments 27C245I touch screen SoC

Yellow = Broadcom BCM5976 touchscreen controller

Rather than a single touchscreen controller, Apple went with a multi-chip solution to handle the larger screen size." Hope this helps, good luck.

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked the connection on the board and it looked perfect to the eye, even under a magnifying glass.

Is there a certain part of the board that deals with the digitizer on the iPhone 5?

I'm having the same problem. Been trying to fix this 5c since forever. I've got the screen replaced, got it check out, iphone Techs. couldn't fix it. I'm more thane sure our problem would be solved if we all bought new logic boards, but they are crazy expensive.
