Won't turn on, so replaced motherboard but still won't turn on?

Hi,

HTC Desire HD won't turn on so I replaced the upper part of the motherboard and it still won't turn on.

I think it might be the battery, battery connector, or the charging port as no LED is showing when I plug the charger in?

I've tried to do the hard reset thing a couple of times (power button + volume down) and only once has it shown a red LED but that's all, no sound and screen didn't turn on (screen looks in good condition also).

Don't want to waste any more money buying parts that aren't needed as I already paid ~£20 for a new motherboard so was hoping you guys could help me :)

Also don't know the history of this phone as I bought it off ebay but the water indicators are still white so I don't think it's water damaged.

Thanks,

Brad

Thanks for the reply.

Phone is showing no sign while charging, no LED or anything. How can I check that battery isn't dead or power is passing through motherboard?

Thanks

Check it with MULTIMETER

Your mobile battery have 3v - 5v DC

Place the battery in mobile and check the motherboard sockets whether voltage is varying or not..

If not check all the connections again..If nothing happens better you should take it to HTC support center.

Good Luck
