Touch Screen Getting Worse After Digitizer Replacement

I just realized I had this posted in the GS3 section, apologies:

Hello,

I dropped my phone off a table and the screen cracked- but the touch worked fine and no dead zones on my phone- just hard to see through the cracks.

Since I'm pretty good with phones I purchased a replacement digitizer from ebay, opened up my phone and did the replacement- LCD underneath was perfect no scratches.

At first the replacement went perfect, but then slowly my phones touch began acting weird- clicking areas I hadn't touched, opening apps, scrolling or not responding to places I did touch. A dead zone at the bottom inch of my touchscreen. Couldn't touch any of the options and even have trouble sliding to answer calls.

A touch screen test showed the phone was unresponsive to touch at the bottom, and activating the "view touch" in settings let me see random touches occurring all over my screen I wasn't touching (!@#$ to try and type something).

I opened up the phone many times, starting from the back to check loose connections or even just lifting the screen and wiping any dust in between- nothing worked.

Maybe its software I thought, so I soft and hard reset the phone.

But then the problem got worse. The dead zone is now the bottom 2.5 inches of my phone, can't answer calls, cant text without going into landscape, and now even the Back and Menu BUTTONS don't work!

I have no idea whats going on, digitizer seller is adamant its the phone, opening it the last time revealed a little white wire at the top left side had come loose from its place, I used mylar to hold it down in place.

Could this little wire be the problem? Is it the digitizer (I'm purchaing a new one), Is it software? Is the phone internally damaged (no water, just falls).

Is it irreparable? :-(

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?
