No service after screen replacement

Block Image

There is a small component right above the battery connection point. From reading other forms it appears to be an rf testing point. This portion came off when I was prying the batter up. Now I do not have service. I have tried everything the other forms say. leaving it alone for ten minutes, calling out, calling the phone, etc. Is there anyway to reconnect this component? Is it necessary for service or do I have another problem?

Thanks,

Could you make a detailed picture of the motherboard?

Maybe you could bridge the component with a bit of soldering. Or you could send it to a motherboard repairshop.

Logan, that is not a testing point, but a connector. In this case it is a Hirose MS-180 connector. It is available at places like this. Yes you will have to have it and it needs to be soldered back onto the board. Hope this helps, good luck.

Thank you. I've ordered the parts but I underestimated how small of soldering wire I'd need, so I am in search of small diameter solder. Thank you for your help!

Logan, thank you for accepting my answer. If you have not soldered a lot of small components, I would practice on an old board first :-) Good Luck
