Can I convert it to a monitor?

Our old iMac is, well OLD, so we replaced it with a Mac Mini. The display was nice so I'm wondering if it can be converted into a monitor only. If so what parts would I need to do so.

To begin to answer this we need to know exactly which iMac and which Mac Mini you have. Ralph

Sorry for the lack of clarity. I had identified the model when I entered the question but if you can't see it is the G5 20" A1076, but the Mac Mini is not going to be used with this. I want to rip out the guts and convert it to a monitor only (I have other uses for the hard disk and DVD burner).

The problems I find are the requirement for some kind of power supply for the LCD and some way to connect your input video. So I would say its possible but I suspect not too practical. I am including a post on the subject for you. Good luck whatever you decide. Ralph

Yet another option is to use the simple software ScreenRecycler, no need to mess around with the internals or anything, just install the software and you're up and running.
