Earpice speaker problem after LCD replacement

Hello,

I have just replaced very cracked LCD (fragments of glass everywhere) and after I reassembled it and try calling someone, there is problem that earpiece speaker malfunctions (1minute working and than 2-3 seconds it is quiet).

I opened it again, looked on every connection and everything seems fine.

Some tips where I should look? I think the ribbon flexe cables might have some problems? Does anyone have a ribbon cables scheme, which one exactly is the earpiece one?

Thank you

Answer this question I have this problem too

The earpiece doesnt have a cable actually. It adheres to the Proximity flex cable and has two pins that stick up....these make contact with the bottom of the motherboard when its placed into the phone. It would be at the top part of the motherboard almost directly under where the screen cables attach (LCD and Digitizer cables). But, on the underside of the motherboard. Make sure the motherboard is seated down into the frame properly at the top. When you put it in, the top should go in first at a slight angle and then lay the rest down. This will ensure the pins make good contact with the contact pads on the bottom of the motherboard. You can also check while in there and make sure the pins are straight and line up properly with the pads you will see on the bottom of the motherboard. Worst case, you can always replace the ear speaker. Its a cheap part and not too difficult to put a new one in.

Hope this helps!
