I bought my mac from another person, but he did not give me his pw nor id, I was unaware that I needed it as I assumed he had re-set the mac back to factory settings!
Now he is still the administrator for this mac and he says he dsnt remember his pw no id........can I reset it myself without having to pay for it??

Use the boot (install) disk to reset pass word.
