Same problem with two phones (lock/volume)?

Hello!

I have 2 white iPhone 4 phones with the exact same problem on both.

First off; the power/lockbutton clicks, but isn't working. I have tried changing the flexcable but to no avail.

The phones also have an awesome touchfunction on the volume buttons, is what I would say if I were trying to sell it. I've that flexcable as well, on both, loosened the screws, changed the whole midframe, on both.

I'm thinking I should give up, but is there anything on the Logic Board that might be fixed in a not too complicated way (like circuitwrite a jumper, like when the cameras are acting funny)?

I'll try changing the midframe once again, with new parts, to see if it goes any better this time.

Otherwise, any tips?

one tip for replacing lock buttons is don't tighten the screws tight. do a small increment, say half a turn, at a time until you are able to click it, and thats good enough. if you tighten it too much the first time, you'll ruin the button.
