Second generation of iPhone. Model A1241 / 8 or 16 GB capacity / black or white plastic back. Repair is more straightforward than the first iPhone. requires screwdrivers, prying, and suction tools.

Battery not charging after taking apart

Hello, I took it apart and put it back, but now I get the battery charging image at very low red, but after waiting 1 hr or so no change the battery does not seem to charge.

Having the exact same problem. I have changed everything but the logicboard. I can start the phone on the remaining juice, but it doesn't charge or gets recognised by iTunes. Any ideas, any1?

Is the dock connector cable connected all the way? Try to reset the logic board. Check if you punctured the battery. Is the warranty screwed screwed in all the way? Check the battery terminal is OK as well.

How far down did you take it? Did you remove the emi shields? Are you plugged into a computer or wall? Was the phone jail broken? Any water damage?
