Does the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s use the same jack cable?

The jack port connectors, in my iphone 4s, are used to such a degree that my new headset's jack isn't connecting enough to use the microphone.

Long story short, then a solution is to switch iphone 4s' jack cable out with the jack cable in my old iphone 4, where the headset works.

But does anyone know if the jack cable is the same model/version in iphone 4 and 4s?

warrants are all out - so it doesnt matter if i change the cables.

Hey Jon.

I tried putting the answer i found above, in the hopes that it would potentially help others.

It isnt the actually mini-jack audio cable connected to the headset, but the hardware spec inside the iphone that is also called "jack cable", that I was asking about.

I found the following when I studied the two phones completely split apart:

Its not the same. iphone 4: http://d3nevzfk7ii3be.cloudfront.net/igi...

Its placed far left. iphone 4s: http://d3nevzfk7ii3be.cloudfront.net/igi... its placed in the middle connected to the volume keys.

Sorry for not making it more clear, and thanks for wanting to help out.
