Can I upgrade the motherboard?

I'd like to upgrade the motherboard on my MacBook Pro to be accomodate more memory. I am currently at the 3GB limit. Is it possible to upgrade the motherboard to a faster processor and the ability to add more memory?

You could install another gig of ram but the computer won't see it--the max for your machine is 3 GB. Ralph

You can certainly add one more Gig RAM...changing the motherboard is not a good idea. You no longer would have the performance of "Mac OS X" and APPLE if you change the very heart of your MacBook.

Adding additional memory is easy and you will find tons of links on the internet to show you step by step.
