Intermittent display screen related to angle?

I replaced HD and RAM on my 2006? Macbook 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Memory:4GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

It has been working fine for 2 months.

Now, the screen will black out-- sleep? but won't display anymore. If I almost close it and slowly open the screen it comes on until it's almost 90 degrees...further opening causes black screen.

Intermittent means loose connection? or something worse?

What do I do to diagnose this problem-decide if I can afford or should attempt to fix it.

Thanks

Yes thank you. I see "DIFFICULT". I read what a splunger was...I think I'm WAY out of my skill set here. Any advice on this part?

The guide is good even for a beginner. But it's not an easy fix. Maybe we can get you to a good tech. Where do you live?

You probably have this machine:

Apple MacBook "Core 2 Duo" 2.0 13" (White/06) Specs

Identifiers: Late 2006 - MA700LL/A - MacBook2,1 - A1181 - 2121

I would replace the inverter cables, here's how: MacBook Core 2 Duo Inverter Cable Replacement

live in the southwestern tip of VT in a rural area. This is NOT apple country. The nearest apple store worth driving to is in Albany 60 miles away. There's a place called Small Dog--just opened in Rutland VT recently--but I need an approximate price of repair--given my limited funds and 06 laptop...

I fear there are no techs in these mtns!

ifixit helped me with the Ram upgrade, and then a HD transplant...I just don't have the overview of what else could go wrong...If it was a car, I'd be askin' if it's more like I'm going for a 'classic car' or is it a loosing proposition?

Is there a different fix (something with an easy rating) that is a more contained component swap (as the HD replacement was) ?

Thanks!

any help will be appreciated!
