Replace/clean the CD/DVD laser Lens

Hi guys,

I have a Clarion VRX588RUSB Car entertainment system. I am looking for the service manual for the above item or description prior to clean/replace the CD/DVD laser lens. When you insert a CD/DVD you hear the sound of the motor without it playing.

Here's Clarions web site for your system on the right you can download the user manual (PDF) and review the other resources they offer VRX588RUSB.

I would start by getting a CD/DVD disk cleaner. One with a micro brush to clean off the the CD/DVD readers lens. A can of can'ed air could also be used but you must be careful as you don't want the liquid to squirt out as it will cloud the lens.

If you can't clean it I would try locating a local dealer and see what they can do for you. Lastly, if you can't do that you'll need to ship it to them for repairs.
