Can you give us more details on what happened. Was there a hardware or a software problem which is why you ran AHT? Are you getting this error only when running AHT?

This is indicating a power problem 4SNS/1/40000001:IDOR- relates to power 4SNS/1/40000001:IDOR-0.000 = No power connected so your error appears to be reporting a power problem of 4.368 out of specification... You get an error when the test is run in battery mode (most tests and upgrades require mains power to be connected - you generally get a dialog message to the effect: "Hey, Dummy you're power is not connected... are you sure, sure, sure you want to continue?" ) my guess is that error represents "insuficient power" so run the test again using the power charger.

If you did that originally then you might have a DC-In or Battery problem. I'd contact Apple Support directly - I've heard a lot of scuttlebutt about this sort of error resulting in machines quietly being replaced by Apple.

MacHead - This error is when you don't have the power cord plugged in when running AHT so the test can't detect AC source present (not all errors are bad, this is an expected error if he did not have the power adapter plugged in). It's premature to ID the issue yet as we don't have enough info.

Dan - that's what I tried to say, only the OP knows what he did/didn't do.

Hi. First I really thankful because of your concentration, My MBP had problem, so I decided to restore factory to solve it, I restored, after that I updated and install all software that I need. after shutting down, it did not turn on properly If I press the power button, the power on it immediately dies off. I can hear the fan power down and eventually, silence. I took it apart and scanned the board rather extensively. I couldn't find anything wrong with it whatsoever. I put it back together. After I got it back together, when I pressed the power button, I absent-mindedly kept holding it down. When it started up, I was happy, but I realized it was not fixed as I was able to repeat this process over and over.

So , I did AHT and it shows this error :( Is it hardware or software? I do not know

I mean overall,

I should hold down power bottom for 5 secs to run.

Thanks for filling us in a bit here what happened. Lets go back a little more here. You state your MBP had a problem which is why you stored it back to what you had (grey disk which came with your system correct?) Can you tell us what this problem was as it could explain things.

In the mean time lets try clearing the PRAM & SMC to make sure you don't have something messed up there. Please let us know what happened beforehand.

Here's the TN on resetting the PRAM Apple TN on resetting NVRAM & PRAM

And here's the TN on resetting the SMC Apple TN on resetting the SMC

Also, did you have the power adapter plugged in and the cord LED lit green? when you ran AHT.

first, thank you for your time,

I did them, but no changes. just in SMC resetting every thing will be ok but the fan work in high speed with sound, so I had to do it again , but the problem also returns back

OK, So resetting the PRAM and SMC and plugging in the power adapter (AC & into system) with the LED lit up green did not change the AHT error - Correct?

Now lets talk about fans and heat: The fans will come on when the process load is higher as the CPU & other subsystems will create more heat. To see what is causing the system to think it needs to run the fans higher you will need to see what the thermo sensors are seeing. The best way to do this is to download a temp monitoring app from the App Store. I like Temperature Gauge but others will work as well. See what is running hot and when its running hot and let us know

Now lets talk a bit on system performance: When you run an emulator like VMware Fusion with MS Windows 7 you are running two OS's at the same time each running there own applications so you do need to make sure you have enough resources (RAM memory & HD storage - both size and free space). Can you give us the last three digits of your serial number so we can correctly ID which of the MacBook Pro systems you have and can you tell us if you have added additional memory or upgraded the HD to a larger size.

by

Hi , thank you.

the last digit serial number is RJK, no upgrade Ram or HD.
