Display flickers; turns white, backlight stays on. inverter or LVDS

My problem is very similar to the question posted here. It fades to white on occasion while mostly just flickering. It works just fine on an external display. I wanna say its the inverter but i want to be 100% sure before I start buying unnecessary parts. or could it be a loose wire (is it a common occurance)?

Its doing almost the exact same thing. Only mine isn't quite as bad.like it starts to fade then doesnt. What are the chance that it may just need to be reconnected?

If the back light is staying on its not the inverter so that suggests the display cable. Try reseating the cable - it may help

when you say " My problem is very similar " is it the same or just similar;-)? It will help if you give a description of what is going on with your MacBook. Fading to white means you are loosing your data from the display, but your backlight stays on. Sounds like the inverter is doing its job. Appears to be more of a display data cable issue...
