New brand hard drive: can I swap thermal sensors too?

I bought a broken iMac and have been repairing it to give it new life. The hard drive I purchased was a Western Digital and I'm finding out now the original must have been a Seagate because the thermal sensor cables are different. If I purchase a Western Digital thermal sensor cable and install it, will there be any problems?

Thanks very much in advance for your knowledge and time.

You have the right idea here! Here's one source for the needed part: AppleComponents.Com - WD sensor. You can also get it from Apple.
